I’m Ekaterina Modina, a New York–based photographer and photographic artist with more than fourteen years of professional practice. I photograph people — from individual portraits and New York sessions to proposals, weddings and intimate elopements, as well as editorial and commercial work.
Alongside commissioned photography, I develop independent photographic projects and exhibit my work internationally. Over the years, my study of light has also grown into a studio-lighting methodology, photography education and research. To me, these are not separate directions — they are different parts of the same photographic practice, built around people, light and visual storytelling.
